50 Year Celebration

The City of Brook Park has a lot to celebrate! We invite you, your family, and friends to join us in 2010 to mark the 50th Anniversary of the incorporation of our City. We will be commemorating and honoring our history, progress, and development. As we plan for this milestone, Mayor
Elliott and the members of Council hope that you we will help us celebrate our many accomplishments over the last 50 years and look to the future for what the next 50 can bring!
As a family friendly community, many of the events and activities that we are planning will focus on family involvement. We will be including our 50th celebration during many of the events that are long time favorites in the City, along with additional festivities to celebrate our golden anniversary.
To close out the celebration, we will hold a “50th Birthday Bash” at our 2010 Annual Community Days event. At that time, we will recognize those residents who have lived in Brook Park for at least 50 years, those couples celebrating 50 years of marriage in 2010 and those individuals who will be turning 50 in 2010. Those of you who will be celebrating a 50th in 2010, please contact the Mayor’s Office.
Look for monthly updates about Celebrating our 50th on our website or flyers will be available at City Hall and the Recreation Center on the 5th of each month. Show you care about the Brook Park community by wearing the official 50th Anniversary t-shirt. You may purchase them at City Hall. Sizes are Adult S-XL - $12; 2X & 3X - $15; Children’s Medium and Large - $10. We are all very excited about the plans for our celebration and hope that you will plan to share in the fun and festivities with us.
