These are the kinds of issues that confront education today, and the Berea City
School District remains in the forefront in addressing these challenges on a
daily basis. Our school district, which serves the students in the communities
of Berea, Brook Park, and Middleburg Heights, has a proud legacy of excellence
that extends back more than 150 years. We take great pride in the tens of
thousands of outstanding graduates who have gone on to make their marks and to
make a real difference in our communities, our state, our nation, and our world.

The current enrollment is approximately 7,500 students. The district consists
of: Six Grade K – 5 elementary schools; Two Grade 6 - 8 middle schools; Two
Grade 9 – 12 high schools; One special-needs school; An administration building;
A buildings and grounds/maintenance/warehouse facility; and a transportation
center.
In addition to the K-12 program, the district operates an extensive preschool
and extended child care program, as well as one of the largest community
education programs in the state.

Corporate Training
Opened in 1975, Polaris Career Center offers career-path programs for 11th
and 12th grade high school students, career-technical and special interest
courses for adults, and on-site corporate training and consulting services
for business and industry. A modern facility, convenient location, and
state-of-the-art equipment and technology are just part of the reason
Polaris is a recognized leader in career-technical skill training.
