YARD WASTE
PROGRAM -
The City of Brook Park has begun
picking up all yard waste, including grass clippings, hedge
trimmings, garden plants, and leaves. Some of the general rules you will need to follow are: 1.
Pick-up
will be each week the same day as your rubbish collection. 2.
The yard waste program will run from April through the end of
October. 3. Yard waste must be placed in brown paper yard waste
bags or other open containers. PLASTIC BAGS WILL NOT BE
ACCEPTED. 4. Yard waste bags or containers can not exceed 50
pounds and should be placed at least 5 feet from the automated
carts. 5. Do not mix yard waste with your rubbish (do not place
yard waste in the black rubbish carts). The automated rubbish
hotline is (216) 433-7189.

Do you need another rubbish cart?
We are five months into the program and if you believe you may
require an extra rubbish cart, please call the
automated rubbish
hotline at (216) 433-7189 and leave your name and address and
you will be mailed an application. You can also pick-up an
application at City Hall. The cost of an additional cart is $45.

WALSH SAFETY TOWN-
The 2013 Safety Town
Program will have two sessions: Session 1: June 17th-June
21st. Session 2: June 24th-June 28th. The program is for
Brook Park children, 5 years of age, who will be starting
kindergarten in the fall. This one week program teaches the
students basic traffic safety, stranger safety, fire safety and
school bus safety. The program is taught by Middle School
students under the general direction of Ptl. James Wagner of the
Brook Park Police Department. Sign-ups for the program will
begin in May and run through June 7th. There are two sessions
each day and they run 2 ½ hours in length. The classes begin at
8:30am and Noon. Safety Town Applications can be picked up at
City Hall, the Recreation Center the Brook Park Library or by
downloading it

returned before June 7, 2013.
