SWGHC—FREE OSTEOPOROSIS SCREENING
Date: Tuesday, April 23 Time: 8:00 a.m.—11:00 a.m.
Osteoporosis affects more than 28 million Americans. Bone Mineral Density (BMD) screening tests can measure the amount of bone in different parts of the skeleton and can help predict the risk of future fractures. No appointment necessary.

SWGHC—EAT SMART FOR A HEALTHY HEART
Date: Tuesday, April 30 Time: 10:00 a.m.
Join Melanie Jatsek, Registered Dietitian at SWGHC, as she discusses heart healthy eating. She will help you learn how to enjoy a low sodium, low fat, low cholesterol lifestyle. She will also teach us to interpret food labels in relation to heart smart eating.

TEEN TALK

Topic: “Who’s the Boss - How to Raise Responsible Children”
Until kids come with a manual, parenting can be a challenging road filled with potholes and road blocks. Learn how to navigate your teen to adulthood by knowing the building blocks of responsibility. Counselor from Oakview Southwest Behavioral Health, Marlene Kurz PCC-S will present this informative talk.

AQUATICS INFORMATION

WATER EXERCISE
Monthly ongoing sessions will be offered. The Aquatics Department offers medium-high intensity water exercise, water walking, deep water, and Arthritis water exercise. Current class offerings are located at the front desk. Registrations will be taken the last week of each month.

All participants may attend any class offering. Registration fees will be collected at the front desk at the beginning of every month. All participants are required to sign in for each class attending. Class times and fees are subject to change. Classes are for members only.

INDOOR POOL RENTAL:
If you are interested in having a birthday party, family reunion or a friendly get-together, rent the indoor pool.

Fees include the pool area rental and party room which is the snack bar area. For an additional $25, Room 3 or Room 4 can be rented.
Important information:
Sunday rentals are only available December through March.
Renters supply own decorations which much be approved.
A rental deposit (50%) must be paid at the time of the contract signing. The remainder is due the day of the party.
Renters are responsible for clean up.
Renters are responsible for any damage.
Requests for refunds must be presented in writing on week prior to the event.
Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations.

SILVER SNEAKERS MUSCULAR STRENGTH AND RANGE OF MOVEMENT
Days/Times: Wednesdays, Fridays 8:00 a.m. — 8:45 a.m.
Mondays, Wednesdays 11:10 a.m. — 12:10 p.m.
Fridays 11:10 a.m. — 12:10 p.m.
Cost: FREE if healthcare provider participates in Silver Sneakers Fitness Program
$1 for non-Silver Sneakers Members
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills. Handheld weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for sitting and/or standing support. Limit 30 participants per class. Bring photo ID and insurance card to the front desk Monday—Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to see if you are eligible.

SILVER SNEAKERS YOGASTRETCH
Days/Times: Tuesdays, Thursdays 9:00 a.m.—10:00 a.m.
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 10:00 a.m.—11:00 a.m.
Cost: FREE if healthcare provider participates in Silver Sneakers Fitness Program

YogaStretch will move your whole body through a complete series of sitting and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. Limit 30 participants per class. Bring your photo ID and insurance card to the front desk Monday—Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to see if you are eligible.

SILVER SPLASH
Days/Times: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 8:30 a.m.—9:30 a.m.

Activate your aqua urge for variety. Silver Splash offers lots of fun and shallow water moves to improve agility, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required. A special kickboard is used to develop strength, balance and coordination. Limit 30 participants per class. Bring your photo ID and insurance card to the front desk Monday—Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to see if you are eligible.

IRON YOGA-LATES’

Restore your inner vitality! Yoga postures and Pilate’s type movements done properly can improve your flexibility, concentration, energy and help cope with PMS, menopause, back pain and put some inner peace back into your busy life. Bring light hand held weights (1-5 pounds each), a mat or beach towel and water. Monday class is more relaxation and stretching. Wednesday class is more strengthening and toning. PUT SOME SPRING INTO YOUR STEP
Doctors and fitness experts recommend walking 10,000 steps every day as a way to maintain a healthy weight and exercise your heart. Wearing a pedometer is an easy way to track your steps. If you have any health concerns, seek your physician’s advice prior to starting or changing your exercise routine. Walking logs are available at the front desk.

KOREAN AMERICAN MARTIAL ARTS (KAMA)

Strengthen and tone your body with high energy, 60 minute workouts. This is a weight training class to define and strengthen your muscles. Includes barbells. KIM & COMPANY YOUTH PROFESSIONAL DANCE TRAINING

Glucose screening 3rd Wednesday every month, 8:00 a.m.—9:30 a.m.
Stop in and get your blood pressure and blood glucose checked. Fasting is recommended for blood glucose test, but not required.
