The Berea City
School District serves the cities of Berea, Brook Park, Middleburg Heights, and
a small portion of Olmsted Falls, Ohio. The district is thirteen miles southwest
of Cleveland. The mission statement of the district is:
A Quality Education for All.
The district works from a strategic plan backed by guiding principles that
provide direction for the entire school system. The current enrollment is 7820
students. The district consists of seven grade K - 5 elementary schools, two
grade 6 - 8 middle schools, two grade 9 - 12 high schools, one special needs
school, an education center, an administration building, a buildings and
grounds/maintenance/warehouse facility, and a transportation center. In addition
to the K -12 program, the district operates an extensive preschool and extended
child care program, as well as one of the largest community education programs
in the state.
The Berea City School District is honored to have been selected as a "Top Ten"
school district for the fifth consecutive year by the editors of Cleveland
Magazine. After a comprehensive review of data from 46 area school districts,
the Berea City Schools were ranked fourth and given a rating of A+.

Opened in 1975, Polaris Career Center offers career-path programs for 11th
and 12th grade high school students, career-technical and special interest
courses for adults, and on-site corporate training and consulting services
for business and industry. A modern facility, convenient location, and
state-of-the-art equipment and technology are just part of the reason
Polaris is a recognized leader in career-technical skill training.
